As much as I would road mountain biking to do this, I would never be confident enough on a bike for this! It sounds crazy but it really does work. It definitely took a bit of nerve and guts. We did see some people that were hiking part of Death Road instead of biking it.

But they also spent part of the time going down Death Road in a van. We actually felt fairly safe on the bikes, but I would be more terrified in a biikng during the parts when the road really narrows. Although hiking it sounds good too! What a ride indeed. It was road mountain biking the ride!
