(Wk 10) Joy is…
… Achieving the (near) impossible!
Last week, India successfully put a satellite into orbit around Mars. The first country to achieve this feat on its maiden attempt. And it did so at a fraction of the cost that others have incurred.
I loved this photo, which captures the staff at the Indian Space Research Organization celebrating this historic milestone.
There is so much to admire about this scene.
… It turns gender, cultural or social biases, on their heads.
… It is a powerful depiction of teamwork and camaraderie.
But most importantly, it showcases the absolute ecstasy of having dreamt big, worked hard, and triumphed against the odds.
I write this as tens of thousands of Hong Kongers, have taken to the streets, in the pursuit of their dream.
And leave you with the words of Paulo Coehlo…
“There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure”
